An exceptional restaurant! Enchanting atmosphere with excellent customer service. Superb dishes! I tried the fettuccine with pumpkin cream and tiramisu – I highly suggest trying those. I strongly recommend this place. Un ristorante eccezionale! Atmosfera suggestiva con un eccellente servizio clienti. Piatti superbi! Ho provato le fettuccine con crema di zucca e il tiramisù: consiglio vivamente di provarli. Lo raccomando senza esitazione!

We were looking forward to visit this restaurant after watching their good reviews over the last years since it opened. Unfortunately our food experience was less great. Atmosphere in this cellar restaurant and service were superb as described in previous reviews. We all had the Bruschetta as Starters. None of us were particularly overwhelmed by them to be honest. Ok, that might be a matter of taste. However, 3 out of 4 of the Pasta dishes we had after were over salted. As mains we had fish and steak: The sirloin was very tasty. The Beef Fillet war exquisitely tender but for some reason a topping with mustard was added which spoiled it for me (again might be my personal taste). The 2 fish dishes were rather bland and nothing special unfortunately.

Excellent . Best Italian we have eaten in outside of Italy. Restaurant is in a old charcoal oven. Lucky our waiter was fabulous, just like the lamb ragu . Definitely will return next time in Bath

Totally worthwhile to go!!! Fantastic food and wonderful service from Staff lucky!! Enjoyed such a great evening!!! All of their dishes are amazing so pick them blindly will be totally fine !!! Btw Highly recommend to try the port wine in dessert!!!!

Restaurant looks great. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food average. We went for special day with friends our starters both bruchettas not particularly good The calamari average. Second course pasta was too salty. Main course steaks very good. Sweod fish boring rirh tasteless veg..... Wine was excellent. I would not recommend it for food.

Absolutely amazing place. Food lovely and service wonderful. Last visited 8 years ago. Let's hope it's still there in another 8! Getting a booking was the hardest part.

My partner reserved Sotto Sotto for us 2 months in advance. Worth the wait. Exceptional food throughout our 3 courses. The lamb ragu to start was faultless. The fillet of beef with pistachio crumb (photo’d) was cooked to perfection and tasted even better. A personal note to Julian who was looking after us. Attentive, informative and professional. He also made a point of giving my partner an alcohol free shot at the end of our meal as he noticed she wasn’t drinking alcohol. A very classy touch. I would take the king here. We will be back.

Fantastic experience at Sotto Sotto, would highly recommend. The food was incredible and service 5-star. Julian was extra helpful in suggesting wines and just being extra attentive. Would definitely return.

The food at Sotto Sotto is amazing and so delicious, particularly the prawn bruschetta starter. Great portion sizes and fantastic service - Lucky is a great waiter and looked after us very well in the evening! Our second time visiting and we'll definitely be back!!

Great value, amazing food, would maybe like some draught beers in lieu of just bottles. Azeez was incredible, very attentive with waters and very friendly, this was the same with all waiting staff

Reservation system, needs a few weeks or months in advance. Pasta was amazing. The desserts, tiramisu and mousse were too sweet/sickly.

A bit lacklustre. The lighting made me want to fall asleep. Big portions of pasta. Prawn toast was delicious.

Booked a few days ahead and got in easily, but it was an early sitting. We were served by Azeez who was very attentive We had polle e salsiccia and the hazelnut semifreddo, the chicken was probably the best meal we've had in a long time and the dessert was lovely

Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic service,especially from Lucky,who was extremely attentive. He organised a plant based meal for me even though there was none on the menu. Be good to see more please! A very enjoyable night anyway!

This place is ranked number one restaurant in Bath for a very good reason!! Absolutely superb atmosphere, service, and outstanding food. I would definitely recommend booking well in advance, which can be done easily online. Beautiful, unique location, very central to Bath so easily walkable if your stopping in the city centre. The standard and quality of service makes this place truly memorable and has made us keen to return on our next visit to Bath in the summer. The food was fresh, high quality, and cooked to perfection. Exceptional is the best word!!
